EMECA Digital Business Innovation platform – Indoor Navigation finalists

Five young companies presented their Indoor Navigation systems to the EMECA Digital Business experts at NürnbergMesse. EMECA had called for submission of Indoor Navigation products and services for the exhibition industry. The aim was to identify young companies offering new systems that improve visitor experience and create added value for exhibition organisers, venues and their customers.

Business Beyond Borders sucessfully concludes cycle of ten matchmakings at VISION

Companies at VISION Stuttgart enthusiastically recommend EC’s ‘Business Beyond Borders’ to anybody wanting to expand their business abroad. The European Commission funded initiative “Business Beyond Borders” (BBB) concluded its first cycle of events this week with highly successful matchmaking sessions at VISION Stuttgart, where over 500 business meetings between 247 companies from 35 countries were facilitated.

SMEs, Clusters operating in the machine vision industry will have the opportunity to meet potential partners from all over the world and seek out business opportunities together. This event marks the end of the cycle of 10 events.

EMECA Members forecast revenue growth for 2018 Maurits van der Sluis, COO of RAI Amsterdam, elected EMECA President 2019-2020

2018 will again be a very good year for the major exhibition centres in Europe with revenue growth for nearly all Members. At the recent EMECA General Assembly held at Fira Barcelona, members gave positive feedback about their trade fairs in 2018, many even prepare for record results. EMECA President Claude Membrez (CEO Palexpo Geneva) explains: “This is a general trend, even for those with weaker years in 2018 due to the cycle of their exhibitions. What may be highlighted is that both Italy and Spain are fully back to normal business and are successfully implementing and hosting trade fairs and other events.” In addition, innovation continues with a solid number of new exhibitions planned 2019 both at the home venues and abroad.
